Adam Strock, Principal

My name is Adam Strock and I am the proud principal of Canyon Valley School. 

At Canyon Valley, we offer an alternative educational option for students to be successful, meet their potential, and reach their goals. Canyon Valley offers an accelerated learning experience where students can quickly earn or remediate credit within an environment that is supportive, inclusive, and restorative. At Canyon Valley we build relationships, inspire growth, and support every student and when students graduate they are ready and prepared for their next steps in college, continuing education in trade and technical schools, the military, or entering the workforce. 

Through individualized relationships, smaller class sizes, flexible schedules, and accelerated courses, Canyon Valley assists students in achieving their own success. Promoting self worth, goal-setting, college and career readiness, and lifelong learning is at the core of our mission. 

Canyon Valley School offers a flexible 5-period daily schedule. Students have the option to take a full schedule or they may choose to begin their school day later or finish earlier, allowing them to accommodate work, community college courses, or other personal commitments while progressing towards successfully completing their high school education. 

A little bit about me... I have been in education since 2006 as a teacher and administrator. My experience as a teacher included teaching band, choir, general music, and musical theater and I have been an administrator at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. I hold a Bachelor of Music from Arizona State University, a Master of Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I also serve as an adjunct instructor and course developer in the education department at Rio Salado College. I am married with two children and live in the Gilbert community.

I look forward to partnering with you this year as we work together to create an educational experience that meets students where they are and supports them in graduating high school pursuing post-secondary success!
